We’re running the Dash of Colour 2016!
This Saturday 3rd September Frimley Park will hosting the Dash of Colour run, a 5k fun run in aid of the fantastic Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care charity. We have a team of six runners including our MD, Mark Robson, who will be braving the event.
Why the name ‘Dash of Colour’ you ask? Well, the runners will be intermittently caked with coloured paint powder as they work their way round the course, see below.
The run is set up by Phyllis Tuckwell who are a fantastic local charity who give care to those battling cancer and other seriously progressive illnesses, as well as offering support for the families.
For over 35 years they have been operating and providing support for terminal patients in West Surrey and North East Hampshire.
They are a non-profit organisation and rely on the generosity of the community in which they serve, with only 20% of their funding coming from the NHS and the government.
We have been supporting Phyllis Tuckwell for three years now and among other initiatives, donate 20p of every pint of Red Mist Ale you lot sip to this fantastic cause.
There will be paint stations set up around the course where volunteers will be armed with buckets full of paint ready for hurling at the passers by (because running 5k alone isn’t hard enough!). We will be manning the red station are can’t wait to cheer and chuck all the wonderful runners taking part this year.
Stay tuned as we will be uploading a some photos from the day!
