Here at The Wheatsheaf Farnham, we have a fantastic team of hardworking and brilliant people who are ready to make your visit a great one. We are proud to have such a strong and coordinated team which pub manager, Paul, keeps motivated during those busy shifts.
We thought we’d introduce you to the team, after all, it’s the people that make the pub and we are proud of all the hard work they do, day in and day out, to ensure all customers receive the high standards of service you can expect from a Red Mist pub.
Our front of house team do a fantastic job of maintaining and building the pub’s reputation, and ensuring our customers are satisfied. Let’s not forget to mention the dedicated kitchen team, led by head chef Gareth, who’s a great leader and loves making delicious meals and daily specials using the seasons finest ingredients. We asked our team, what their ideal night out would be, who they would spend it with and what their favourite dish is from Gareth’s Winter Menu:
Ana – “Nothing for me is more desirable than discovering new places with my friends. During the daytime we’ll get lost in art galleries and walk round the city streets. In the evening we’ll stop in a restaurant and treat ourselves with a delicious dinner. Later on we’ll share our thoughts about the art we’ve seen and enjoy the beautiful view of the city’s lights with a glass of wine or two.”
“My favourite dish has to be the smoked salmon starter and the vegetable stack, they are so tasty!”
Tiziana – “Dinner out with close friends followed by a pub crawl and if there are any board games along the way, even better; it’s about the company and having fun!”
“My Favourite dish – there’s so many good choices but to start it would have to be the Camembert, I adore gooey cheese! My favourite main is most definitely the mushroom, spinach and blue cheese tart. I’m not vegetarian but this is my favourite dish; the crispy short crust pastry, tasty filling and of course, the cheese! The sauce Gareth has made for the tart is so good too.”
Nat – “So my ideal night is a night in, I enjoy cooking, so it would have to be a dinner party with friends. I love putting on a spread for my nearest and dearest, with a couple glasses of vino along the way to spice up the evening.”
“My favourite dish (other than my signature toad in the hole) is the beef and mushroom pie, you just can’t go wrong with a classic pie!”
Paul – My ideal night out is a good catch up with my oldest mates over a few beers and of course the football. I’m a fan of Cambridge United and always go to the matches when I can get there. I’m passionate for the sport and always have been so any excuse for a beer and footy and I’m there.”

Tiziana (the cheese lover) picked up our annual Shining Star Award for her exceptional work over the year, as voted for by our Red Mist Leisure Directors (pictured below).
