To Raise Money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice
Christmas Carols – Wednesday 18th December 2013 from 6:30pm
With our re opening date creeping ever closer, we wanted to let you know about one of our first exciting events we’re holding here at The Wheatsheaf.
On Wednesday 18th December, we will play host to Farnham Heath End School Choir for a Carols by Candlelight event, to raise money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
Celebrate Christmas week and get into the festive spirit with complimentary roasted chestnuts and mince pies, whilst singing along to carols old and new. We will be donating 50% of all sales made from mulled wine, mulled cider and mulled apple juice, to the Hospice which offers Specialist Palliative Care to adults facing the end of their life and to those who love and care for them, serving a population of 530,000 across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire.
Amy Corstin, our pub manager says “We hope this event will offer a wonderful festive start to Christmas week, suitable for all the family, whilst raising money for such a worthwhile cause – every year, millions of people around the world are living with a life-limiting illness and experience unnecessary pain and distress, either unaware of or unable to access the care they need. We are all hugely fortunate to have such an exceptional care resource available to us free of charge in our community, and we are delighted to be able to offer our support to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice to help them to continue developing their palliative care services.”
We hope many of you can join us for this event and take a look around the pub if you haven’t been in before then!
